DISCUSSING THE CRITICAL ISSUES IMPACTING UPON THE CLEAN ENERGY TRANSITION IN AUSTRALIA

Clean Energy Investor Conference 2024 brings together utility-scale clean energy investors together with policy makers, regulators, financiers and industry players to discuss the critical issues impacting upon the clean energy transition in Australia. This specialist event will focus on the key opportunities to catalyse clean energy investment as Australia strives to achieve its renewable energy and climate targets.

Hear from leaders in the superannuation, finance and project owner community, as well as governments and regulators, as they come together to identify how we can catalyse the level of investment needed to achieve 82% renewables by 2030. Join with the Clean Energy Investor Group member community as we tackle the big issues which can see investment catalyse this once in a century transformation of the energy sector.

This dedicated investor led conference agenda is by and for the clean energy investor community. A focused agenda of topics will dive deep into key topics for catalysing clean energy investment, informing the policy, regulatory and market debates investors are focussed on.

CONFERENCE TOPICS

Super powering the energy transition in Australia  – a policy blueprint to facilitate superannuation investment.  The role of Australian superannuation funds is a key focus of for the next decade of clean energy investment, both in generation and transmission. How can policy and regulation facilitate increased levels of domestic superannuation investment?

Solutions for mega infrastructure – The build out of generation, storage and transmission infrastructure is testing the capacity of supply chains, labour markets and infrastructure sectors. How do we rethink delivery of infrastructure at the scale and speed required? How do we move beyond business as usual thinking?

Thinking big - new directions in energy policy and markets. Governments are taking increasingly interventionist approaches. How can we ensure  government collaborate, and don’t compete, with private capital and how will the big ambitions of governments be jointly realised?

Achieving clean energy targets - accelerating planning and environmental assessment. Planning and environmental assessments are proving challenging for clean energy development. What steps can we take to improve the timeliness of regulatory approvals and ensure the benefits of clean energy development are recognised in environmental impact assessment?
